There’s a bit of Galactic Inspiration coming our way, just in time for the Holy Days and a fresh new calendar year.

Saturn, and later this year, the Sun, will once again transit the Galactic Center (G.C.) astrological degree in late Sagittarius (26-27 Saj), completing a Trine with Uranus in Aries and stirring up some interesting conversation, possibilities, and perhaps even a few potent, fiery, and electrical Cosmic-Juju pulses into the shared energy field in which we all dance.
The ancients didn’t call it the Music of the Spheres for nothing; it’s a symphony, and we’re all both instruments and dancers in this grand cosmic dance.
I’ve long had an interest in the Galactic Center because, first, I’m a stargazing astronomy geek.
I once walked straight into a parking sign that had been plowed into and thus angled into the sidewalk, because I was staring up at a couple of planets sparkling in a rare clear night sky in San Francisco. True story, and I had a curious bruise on my forehead to prove it.
And secondly, my interest in the G.C. stems from the fact that my own astro-chart ruler … that’d be a ruling archetype-energy reflected in your cosmic blueprint … is smack-dab on this degree in Sagittarius.
Plus I’m super interested in just how these symbolic, mythic, archetypes and the energies and patterns associated with them do in fact seem to sync with experience and years of observing curious and quirky humans doing their thing.

Whether you’ve got a personal cosmic connection between your astro-blueprint and the G.C. or not, certain astro-transits are said to act as amplifiers of the energies and archetypes involved.
For example, the Sun transits the point each year, as do certain other ‘fast movers’ in our solar system. Less frequently do the slower-moving planets like Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto.
Pluto, epic transformer, transited the G.C. in the 2006-2008 timeframe, kicking up all manner of things during and in the wake of its transit. Uh-yup, I learned a lot about Pluto’s radically transformative transits during that one.
Here’s a very wee snapshot on the Galactic Center story:
The Galactic Center is a supermassive black hole and the rotational center of our cosmic home galaxy, the Milky Way.
It’s also the source, or the region, from which mega-Xray flares shoot forth and magnestars with super-powerful magnetic fields exist, as recorded by the Chandra X-ray Observatory launched by NASA on July 23, 1999. (The Chandra’s specialty is detecting X-ray emission from very hot regions of the Universe.)
Several of the most powerful X-ray flares have been noted in recent years, according to The Chandra Observatory media releases.
Could this be linked to prophecies about ‘time speeding up’ (or seeming to), Rainbow or Shambhala Warrior emergence (or activations), and seemingly amped-up energy frequencies?
The possibilities are … Divine.
Whatever the story might be, or what stories and reports unfold, it kindles the imagination and stirs up our mythic imagination, which can lead to inspiration and a greater sense of meaning and purpose.
The Galactic Center in astrology.
In mythic, archetypal, and evolutionary astrology (to name a few ‘specialties’), there are various ideas about how the Galactic Center — with its super-dynamic, X-ray flare emitting black hole nature — might speak to us, inspire us, and perhaps ‘wire’ us.
In short, people with particularly potent Galactic Center aspects in their astro-chart are often found to be transmitters of that ‘frequency’, consciousness-frequency ‘seeders’, or be ‘ahead of their time’ with the ideas they receive, spark, and seed.
They might be horizon-edge leaders (whether recognized yet as leaders or not), or rebel-presences stirring up and disrupting the status-quo that’s become toxic and harmful.
This would be akin to what the late Dolores Cannon called volunteer souls. There have always been those at the horizon’s edge of the dominant culture or mainstream, after all.

Some Galactic-Center aligned peeps may seem to be those who seem to block, stand against, or seem to want to repress that kind of forward-thinking, horizon-edge consciousness.

Rock and Roll champ. Yes, I’ve noticed my mojo going off the chart recently. Seeing I’m a Saggy, I’m feeling a huge spike in my mojo of late on every level. I was promoted to get out in the freezing cold under the stars and do a whole bunch of pranayama breathing and elemental balancing the other night. The stars felt like a living presence within my awareness. Later when I came in and sat down on the couch my crown opened right up and I could feel this amazing energetic tones chiming through me. I’m wondering if this has anything to do with galactic centre or was this contact with some kind of upper astral beings or perhaps a little of both?

Hey there, Leeby. Is your Saj-Sun at the G.C. degree? You might also have other astro-blueprint facets that connect with the G.C. energy-emanations as well.
But yes, what you describe … that energy can be really intense sometimes. I often figure now-a-days that it’s usually a ‘cocktail’ … macro energy dynamics, how they’re affecting our own electro-magnetic selves (clues in the astro-chart), connections to the Divine jujus (including the beings), and then what’s wafting around in the ‘mass mind’ astral field. As we track these energies and patterns, and notice how they’re triggered and what they feel like, we gather helpful energy hygiene ‘intel’.

Yes, that’d be one Galactic Center gift or facet … well-phrased, e.g. the picking up on transmissions that aren’t always well-received (or received/noticed at all, or understood) by the mainstream (each of whom has his or her own unique cosmic gifts … one of the things i appreciate about astrology is that it reflects just that!).
It’s a good metaphor, actually … that potent cocktail of cosmic energy radiating outward from the Galactic Center and all that’s in or near it (quite a cosmic cauldron, it seems), and depending on what the astro-chart shows, either being ‘filtered through’, blocked or intercepted by, or reflected by various “g.c.-wired” transmitters or receivers (e.g. Galactic Center People). Like a crystal prism … shining rainbows and sparkles of light around a room when the sun comes through it, or radiating otherwise if it’s reflecting the sun.

Hi all,
I have Grand trine (kite) my moon at 24°55′ aquarius (4th H) my mercury rx at 23°27′ gemini (8th H) & uranus rx at 28°33′ libra (12th H). All connecting with G.C. My Anti-vertex is at 27°02′ Sagittarius (2nd H). My Chiron is in Aries at 26°40′ and trines G.C. Also this year’s solar return i have s.r. Venus in Aries at 23°& Uranus rx at 24°30′ (in Aries as well), s.r. north node at 27° Leo and Saturn rx at 27° Saggi. My s.r. Mars is at 26°Gemini (apex point) cause this is also a kite…
Nataly i have 2 T-squares (1 by progression) and a mystic rectangle (but this is an other story…) anyway i have a lot of stuff..!
I can’t find anything about my Anti-vertex conjunction with Galactic Center or for my Kite formation(s) nataly & solar return.
After all this (& that) what do you think?

Greetings, Star dance. Thanks for stopping by. I’d need to see & spend some time with your chart to get a sense of the whole story, how those different threads interweave and co-create with one another to make up the full tapestry, if you will.
The Galactic Center is interesting astronomically as well as astrologically, since it’s just a hot-bed of activity … a hot-star ‘stellar nursery’ as NASA words it. It also emits potent (and measurable) energy.
So moving that into the energy-archetypal symbolic/mythic language of astrology, it’d be a real power point, like a super-potent catalyst, particularly for conjunctions, though I wouldn’t rule out tight major-aspects otherwise if they offered story-clues.
With the Vertex and Anti-Vertex, it’s one of the chart axis clues (like ASC/DSC, Midheaven and IC, North and South Nodes). Vertex conjunct the G.C. might be considered the more potent or ‘important’ by some, vs. Anti-Vertex conj. the G.C. I’d play with it a bit, since it’s an axis, and look at how the Anti-Vertex might work in relationship to its Vertex partner across the wheel, whether in a co-creative sense, a ‘lesser’ or more subtle sense, or maybe even in a more ‘deepened’ sense. The signs and houses give more clues.
For example, do the ‘Destiny Points’, epiphanies, ‘aha-Eureka!’ moments, life-changing meetings, pull in, or seem to arise most consistently with, the qualities of the Gemini-Saj, 2nd/8th house?
So your Vertex is at 27:02 Gemini — a ‘sweet spot’ clue, since Vertex is seen as a ‘Destiny Point’ or ‘Destiny Gateway’, and the Anti-Vertex, as you said, at 27:02 Sagittarius, in the Galactic Center point zone.
We’d venture to say that it’s a super-energized axis in your chart (and thus your being, and your experience), and very likely involving those pivot points, destiny points, major synchronicities, etc. that somehow include the ‘information’ vs/and higher knowledge (e.g. Gemini Saj), talking vs. learning; clues and ‘intel’ that leads to ‘higher truth’ and real knowledge; and so on. Perhaps you find the most connection or life-influencing interactions when there is a more intense learning, teaching, ‘higher wisdom’ communication thing happening, for example.
Again, the whole chart would fill in the story, though this gives a sense of how one might start delving into that Vertex – Anti-Vertex and G.C. story clue.
As for the kite formation … grand trine plus the sextile ‘tail’ … it depends on the what and where for the full story. It’s relatively rare, as it goes, and is often seen as a ‘free will or fate?’ inquiry that someone lives into, likely pretty often as that aspect is activated by transits, etc.
Good fortune with your sleuthing (that Gemini Vertex – Saj Anti-Vertex part of you will find that very satisfying!).

Ahhh, a wonderful philosophical question (reminds me of those we pondered in Philosophy classes and gatherings).
Here’s one perspective.
‘Time’ is a mental construct, as in one person asking another, “What time is it?” or “What time do I need to be at the meeting?” It’s used here meaning just that.
Perhaps if one lives on a deserted island by one’s self, one’s sense of ‘time’ would align more with the rising and setting of Sun and Moon, the tides, seasonal changes, and the other rhythms of Nature in that place — which is why many of those cultures had no word for ‘time’ per se. Any languaged references would likely reflect that (as they have in various times/cultures past).
If you live in a large city, like New York or Paris, your sense of time is likely more influenced by clock and calendar time – transit schedules; the open and close times of various shops, markets, cafes, businesses; when various bills are due.
I’d guess the neurology of the solo island dweller and City dweller would reflect those differences.
Since most of us don’t live on a deserted island alone, and do interact with the people and culture around us (at least to some degree), we have a fluency with the language and concepts predominant in it.

The Black Hole theme is fun to study … the Great Attractor in mid-Sagittarius (14 degrees, I think) and then quite a few others, though the G.C. and G.A. seem to be among the more potent, so say the astronomers. You might have other points in your chart that aspect the G.C., too, so have a look for those to complete the story that’s hinted at in your astro-chart. Hello, I just learned about the G.C in astrology and I am fascinated!
I am a bit worried with the placement of mine however, as it is conjunct the south node and Neptune in the 3rd house.
Would this mean that I am stuck in old ways or prohibit new ways of thinking? It seems more beneficial to have conjunct sun or north node. Please advise!

The G.C. is definitely one of the interesting astro-phenomena and sleuthing clues. Why would you be worried about the G.C. aspects in your chart?
The G.C. in your personal story really depends on the rest of the chart (and thus the energetic pattern-weaving that you embody and bring to the planet).
So your G.C. connections are part of that greater story shown in your chart, and knowing that can help you to set some of the worry aside and embrace the guidance and purpose-clues shown in the chart, aka your sacred blueprint or mandala.

Thank you Jamie for the quick response. I suppose my worry with the south node conjunct the G.C is because the limited sites outside of yours seem to have it connected to disaster, unless that is just in transit?
As far as the rest of my chart, I know that it is pretty complex and I will need to probably spend a good amount of time learning what it all means. I have 5 retrograde planets. 2 yods with Chiron at 29 degrees at the apex and many other planets at critical degrees.
I have an 8th house stellium and My sun is conjunct mars there and opposite Saturn rx and Pluto rx who are also conjunct in the 1h.
In the little astro groups I belong to, it seems as though I’m doomed with this placement and I wondered if this also signified in destined for only bad things.

Hey there, Nicole. Well, there’s a lot of superstition and gloom-and-doom still present in traditional astrology, as is the case in other areas/professions. When I look at the medieval translations still used for fixed stars in astrology — it’s almost all horror and gloom and fear-stirring, which probably reflected the fears, minds, and times of those who set that into the teachings.
So no, I wouldn’t buy into the doom and gloom over certain placements or aspects. It could just as easily be said that there are gifts that you bring in, suited to these times, and also that there are what I call ‘grace lines’ that enter into the story hinted at in your charts.

The galactic center is close to (3 degrees) to Pallas Athena which is conjunct my south node in the 9th house (sag). I can t find any info online about that particular aspect. Can you tell me something about it?

Here are a couple of insights about Pallas Athena conjunct the South Node in Sagittarius — the fully story, and how the Athena-SN weave into that full story, requires a more indepth look at and analysis of the chart.
Pallas at the South Node in Sagittarius
Athena is associated with being an adept, and even wise, strategist, who didn’t leap into battle and violence without forethought (like Mars did). In this way, Athena personified (or inspired) approaches like this one from Roman statesman and philosopher, Lucius Annaeus Seneca:
“Before you judge, investigate.”
Through discernment and weighing options and their potential consequences, Athena represents the capacity for wise action … including when it’s wise not to engage, as well as how to engage wisely. Athena is associated with the owl … owl of Wisdom, but also a nocturnal creature and thus associated with Feminine Wisdom.

Demetra George has also associated Athena with creative intelligence, which makes sense given the above.
Ancients at that time also associated Athena with what might be called “useful arts” — artisan creations and “purposeful creativity” in the community or in the individual’s home and life.
So Pallas Athena conjunct the South Node in Sagittarius would be an indicator that you’ve come in with a legacy — be it what some call ‘past life’, or we might say ‘soul experience’, or even ancestral memory/lineage — where you’ll find it wise, this time around, to cultivate these very Athena-like associations:
Discernment before and in engaging — before you judge, investigate (this is particularly apt in Sagittarius, which can, in shadow or unconsciousness, become quite fundamentalist and judgmental).
Also that ‘purposeful creativity’— weaving your gifts together in creative offerings that allow you to ‘have your joy meet the world’s great need’ (as Frederick Buechner wrote).

It is interesting that for the last couple of years, when I have some kind of strong judgement about something, it seems to manifest in one way or another in my own life! “Judge not lest thee be judged comes to mind.” Also I am learning that discernment comes only when one is able to be in an impersonal space. I am finding that space to feel so much better than being in the personal, judgmental one.

I have G.C. conjunct to my Midheaven, White Moon Selena, and Neptune… It also forms a Trine to my Moon in the 1st house…. Any thought on a good career path for me with energy such as this?

Midheaven in 3rd decan of Saj, with Selena and Neptune nearby, trining natal Moon in your 1st house. Seems ‘watery’ and yet Saj is a Yang Fire sign.
The message of the Saj MC, Selena, and Neptune really does depend on how this weaves into the story shown by the rest of your chart — we are stories expressing, more than just individual facets.
Perspective about career path, or one’s vocation and work in the world, also depend on the full chart with input from the transits (like activations, or stage cues for characters waiting back stage to come from behind the curtain).
So I can’t answer that question (with any integrity) without seeing the full chart and the MC + Pals relationship to and part in it.
That said, with Neptune and Saj at the MC, I’d look for story-threads and themes related to re-envisioning the beliefs and stories that create, and thus help shift or evolve, a culture (be it within us, in a local micro-culture, an organizational culture, a movement culture, or greater culture).
With White Moon Selena, it would depend on the degree and its orb, and we’d also want to have a look at how the rest of the chart aspect it … then more of its clue-message to you emerges. 🙂

HOLY #*@$. I need to post this here, not on the other post. But my 7 month old daughter is Aries. Cardinal fire, the beginning, but carries my rising and moon. I found that so pecuiliar but exciting. I am Sagittarius. She is a new beginning that I am ending, could it be so? They say the GC spans two degrees, so I am not 26-27, I’m just 28 degrees. Although who can say, based on my theory most natal charts are off anyway.. But I feel this, truly deeply intuitively cringingly compassionately so something tells me I’m close enough for this to be right: Freedom and truth have always meant everything to me as soon as I developed out of my own selfish little ego a greater sense of the world and beyond and right and wrong. I was born at the end of Sagittarius with the sun rising in pisces and the moon in libra. This means everything to me, I’m crying writing this. Ironically the sun and my sun are crossing the same degree right now which is 28 or close, I can’t remember. But this makes sense as to why my life path and passions have lead me here, to this. I understand finally what’s “wrong” with me, why i’m so driven and obsessed with astrology suddenly and what’s at the core of who I am, who we are all, because we are all one.. I remember in college wanting a tattoo on each wrist (thankful today to have none), one that would say “question everything” and the other “believe in nothing”. My poor deceived, confused pisces counterpart (i’m an excellent artist, super compassionate, music makes me cry). I wish I understood this better. This makes me quiver. I am only just learning about it all but have been fascinated by these themes for so long.. Why are there not more powerful driven intense beings born late december at this super charged moment like myself? Must be some other elements in my chart, not everyone at 26-28 sag becomes this… But I have a theory that your true natal chart is decided at conception, or perhaps some point when your very essence is first being formed/hardwired during pregnancy, maybe when you first become a zygote and the cells start splitting and subatomic particles start spinning, idk yet – why then, is it 9 full months later that the sky reflects our beings instead of whenever that particular special moment is I don’t understand – but it makes sense as to why astrology isn’t always spot on with everyone. Which is why so many don’t believe it or give it a chance. I believe.. no, I KNOW that there is a chart out there that fits each of us perfectly. There is an exact moment that defines us all as we dance on the strings of powers we cannot perceive – yes, I believe we cannot help it, the stars compel, not impel, only because i’ve tried so hard to change people for the better and just can’t, nor can I help being who I am.. My chart is not spot on at 11:23 am on December 20. But 9 minutes later at 11:32am I found a natal chart that describes a person that is exactly me. I also think it comes down to the gravitational pull each of these planets have, but also the entire cosmos. Everything is effected by everything else. Gravity effects and creates potential energy. It all breaks down through this transfer of.. ah, not worth getting into the science I hardly understand anyway. Understand that I’m all about the truth. I’m not trying to force this to fit. I want to know what’s real. What’s true. But something deep inside me knows, feels.. this is truth without affirmation already. I am somewhere else, something else.. Yet I am everything, everywhere.. I wish I could find the words. This is so incredible. The very notion of a GC strikes a chord I can’t find the words for but can at least depict the feeling as… frightening, relieving, intense, surreal. And I understand. I’ve understood for a long time just what this is, despite being so desperately confused and utterly lost at the same time..When I close my eyes, ever since I was just a little girl, I could see and watch this blackness as it spun around a white-ish hole. I can still see it now. Sober, I can still see this and I wonder what the hell am I seeing? What is this? I’ve questioned my existence for as long as I could remember, I’ve needed to know what this is and why.. my mind is always turned on, and I’m consumed by figuring this out and I think I finally have. I’m now 27, at the brink of some kind of epiphany (I have them constantly) but I understand exactly what it is. It’s me, it’s you, it’s all of us. I’ve felt it all along. I thought I was the only one, I’m still not fully convinced i’m not.. But the GC is me. And you. Everything. All the time. It’s all an illusion. Love and life are not real, freedom and truth do not exist.. But if they did.. I’d be on their side. I’d fight for them no matter what, always. I am goodness. It makes me cry. There is one part of me that isn’t just the planets influencing me subconsciously or the physical world literally… it’s deep inside, like a single particle somewhere that reflects the entire universe, like a fractal of the whole, I can find it if I really try but doing so voids life of all of all feeling and color, all emotional depth.. all of life and the things that consume me and everything I love and care about, crave and feel.. and thought mattered suddenly don’t. We’re just matter, energy, space, time.. Why am I here though and what is this consciousness? I get it, the planets that orbit the sun and the subatomic particles behave in a similar fashion with electrons circling a proton core… i’m just a conscious clusterf(@* of atoms… Does this mean others feel it too? I’ve always felt I was all alone despite having the deepest understanding that we are all one..

Sun-Jupiter at the Galactic Center – that’s a potentially potent combo, yes, and you’d find other storyline clues in the rest of your cosmic blueprint (a.k.a. astro-chart).

I have 5 planets in 10th house Sagittarius, 4 of which conjuct the galactic centre, all with in 3°. With the closest (sun) 0.01° and (uranus) 0.02° away. The other two are saturn and mercury. All 4 of these are trining aries jupiter in the 2nd. Sag Moon is conjunct Antaries and Picses Asc is conjunct formalhaut…..did I.mention scorpio mars conjunct scorpio pluto in the 9th. Sometimes I feel myself tapp dancing on the edge of insanity. But I feel like im meant to….say something…..someday. Well not me….perse….but…..something

That’s a lot of potent energy streams flowing, Lerole! Yes, I can understand very well … it can be a challenge to hold and let that kind of energy signature and flow move through you, to be sure. Strong stellium in Saj … and now getting ‘lit up’ by Uranus in Aries once again transiting into exact Trine with the Galactic Center (VERY electrical energetic) … so that’s a lot of activation, and Saj … that Quest for Truth (capital ‘T’, not the myriad small truths that get mistaken for Truth … whatever that is!).
There may also be something of a soul intention to be an energetic transmitter … energy, a frequency … that isn’t recognized by culture (or most of them nowadays, anyway!) but is still a primary (or THE primary) soul intention.
Much to explore, to be sure. All of that Fire (Saj, Aries, etc) would want to find some Earthing (Saturn transit Capricorn and, in May, Uranus leaving Fire-Aries for Earth-Taurus, may help with that).

Not sure sure exactly what an energy transmitter is. Though at times in the past when my meditation practice was at its strongest, my palms would swell up considerably during meditation, and at times I would here a slight knocking sound inside my head. My north node is in late degree pisces in the 1st so my life path is inately spiritual, but that node is squared by chiron in genini 4th, and by sun/saturn/mercury/uranus and and guessing the galactic centre (all of which oppose chiron). So im kinda stumped. Any clues to a starting point would be appriciated.

Hmmmm, I’m envisioning the chart/mandala as I read your message, and it seems that’d make a T-Square (Chiron in Gemini, North Node in Pisces, and the stellium (or part of it) near the Galactic Center). If I’m reading correctly, that’d make the North Node in Pisces the apex (release valve, if you will) of the tension of the T-Square (which would have the squares you mention and the opposition).
I’d look to some of the messages/themes of each of those, and then look to the North Node in late Pisces as one key to healing, harmonizing.
Sun, Saturn, Mercury and Uranus … that’s quite a meet-up … and all opposing that Chiron in Gemini. Would have to see the full chart to see how all of those clues, themes, and storylines weave together, and which messages/themes rose to the surface (the key themes tend to repeat, so it gets easy to see the pattern!).

Grounding/Earthing methods are definitely good to have in the Magic Backpack repertoire, for sure, Hannah. Nothing beats having bare feet and tailbone on the Earth in some lovely natural place, but there are other grounding practices, too. 🙂 It can *definitely* get overwhelming sometimes (no matter how much experience and practice we have), but the awareness of and experience with that gathers, and really helps. In recent months, with Uranus retro’ing back towards tighter Trine with the G.C. (that last Uranus-G.C. Fire-to-Fire touch for quite awhile), did you notice any acceleration or amping up of that fiery electrical buzz?

Yes, a mirror-reflector sounds about right. Or maybe a trans-ceiver. I have Uranus square Moon in my natal chart so I guess I’m always attuned to that electricity. Uranus was also sextile my natal Venus when it trine the GC so the energy felt benevolent. It was rather damped down though for in recent years and I have had a long transit of Neptune over my Pisces Sun and Mars. That is now waning..
As you can tell I love astrology and subscribe to Dane Rudyhar’s idea that the birth chart is like a blue print for life. I spend a lot time of studying it but I would not call myself an astrologer. That’s why sites like yours are a such a great find.

Thank you for stopping by, Suzanne. We’re both Uranus-Square-Moon people, then. And yes, it’s an electrical self-facet and trans-receiver aspect to be sure. Those Neptune transits of Sun (and Mars, in your case) prove to be an interesting experiment, with a whole different effect on your energy or life force – what energizes, what drains energy, when energy very clearly needs to be restored or replenished or honored.
Have you found that to be the case?
It’s also interesting to really notice, from our own experience, the energy and essence of various transits and aspects, as you noticed with the Uranus Sextile Venus feeling more benevolent.
More kinship: When Neptune transited Aquarius, it transited my Sun-Saturn, squared natal Neptune, opposed natal Mars and finally, when that waned, squared natal Moon (while Pluto in Sag was wreaking havoc in the Mutable self-facets!). It’s definitely a deep initiation into the ways and essence of Neptune, yes?
Astrology is such a deep wellspring with varied treasures waiting in the depths (vs. on the surface). It’s a wonderful thing that it calls you into it. Any idea where the asteroid Urania is in your chart? She was the Muse of astronomy and astrology, which were kindred vocations back in the day.

Thanks for your in depth comment. You had me scrambling – looking through the ephemeris and reflecting on what was going on at key points in my life. When retrograde Neptune connected with my natal Mars last October I came down with a serious case of pneumonia and was hospitalized for over a week. It took right up until the final direct pass over my Mars for my health to really start to get back on track. Funny thing is I was so sick I didn’t even think to look at the astrology for last October, November until I read your comment. Yes, definitely a deep initiation!
I had search online for Urania. I had never heard of it before. Turns out it was about 5 degrees from natal Mercury in Aquarius at the time of my birth. That would suggest I should be a better astrologer than I am but unfortunately I always get details mixed up, forget things and generally mess up when I try to interpret other people’s charts. Maybe it’s something to do with my Mercury opp. Pluto – I often feel like there is some deep block as to why I can’t explain astrology properly – some past life thing or something.
I love reading about astrology and thinking about what it means – really it’s more intuiting what it means for me personally but I’ll leave the indepth stuff to those who can explain it properly (and synthesize all the factors).
You’ve alerted me to some factors in my chart that are very relevant right now so thank you very much for that. Also exploring the intricacies of that Neptune square Neptune may well provide the key I have long sought to heal some of the more difficult things that occurred for me back then.
Thanks for a great conversation. On a different note – I was reading a lot about Sophia archetype and the descent journey last week. I understand the idea that this represents the dark night of soul but am not sure why this descent connects Sophia to the Earth. I know on my own descent journey of the past few years the way out was through connection to the Earth on a deep level but I’m finding it hard to put that into words. Have you written about this on your blog? I’d be interested to read what you have to say about it.

Very interesting, I’m a sagittarius, my sun is at degree 25, near the galactic center, neptune is just 2 degrees away, at degree 23, and mercury is 8 degrees away, also in sagittarius, grade 17. Hi Jamie,
I have the GC conjunct vertex, Saturn and Capricorn in the 5th house, all opposed to Chiron in Gemini. It is squaring my nodes. My NN is in the late degrees of Pisces in the 8th house.
I noted two specific moments where I had intense epiphanies when it all started back in 2017. The first conscious download was on 19 April, when Saturn retrograde was exact with the GC. I was not too sure what just happened. Then, I received the biggest download between 18-21 December. There was a New Moon in Sag then, conjunct Saturn and the GC, plus the solstice afterwards and the end of my Saturn return. I’ve got my awakening then.
Funnily enough, I stumbled upon your post months ago, but didn’t knew much about astrology then. I understood the GC was part of my awakening, though. Since then I’ve been studying like crazy (and I hated to read books beforehand). I seem to be a real sponge for information and have an ability to see patterns.
It seems that each time Saturn is transiting on the GC, I get a ton of informations. It just increased since then.

Hi! Um, so I’ve always felt like there was something off about me. Like I was special in a way? Not in a way of elevating myself above others or anything like that, but I’ve felt like I was going to change the world in some significant way. My Sun is conjunct the GC and my Mercury is also conjunct the GC (Sag), I have a Grand Trine (Leo Moon, Scorpio Pluto, and Capricorn Jupiter), my fixed star is Eta Pegasus (Matar) which is sextile Neptune (Cap). Also, my MC (Aquarius) trines the GC. I’m not really sure if any of this means anything, I feel like it does but I don’t know. Please help me in any way that you can! Thank you!!

I’d have to see a full chart to really get a sense of the placements, aspects, and story lines, but yes, I imagine there’s some energy pouring through from the G.C. via your Sun-Mercury conjunction and the Aqua m.c. sextiling the G.C. 🙂
Leo Moon would surely be prime for center stage in some way, though G.C. people may well emanate via their very presence regardless of greater visibility in the culture (like Dolores Cannon’s “Volunteer Souls” concept).
Sun-Mercury is a nice aspect, pointing to an innate potential in communication. In Saj, that’d in some way likely be related to the great Saj Quest for Truth (and findings or observations along the way).
With an Aquarius Midheaven (I’m an Aqua m.c. tribe member as well), or other strong Aquarius placements, it’s always interesting to see where the asteroid Prometheus is in the chart. And, of course, the other key purpose-clues (look to your Rising sign and its ruler, your North Node, your Chiron, for starters).
How do you resonate with the fixed star Eta Pegasus, from what you’ve learned?

Hi! I have 27 degree sagittarius in neptune. It sits in my 8th house. As well Mars 27 gemini in 2nd house. 23 degree Taurus ascending. Cancer sun 3 degrees. Capricorn moon 2 degrees. My moon sits directly above neptune in the 9th house. 25 degree gemini north node. Also Saturn 27 degree libra (6th house) and 26 degree pluto in libra 6th house I believe it’s called aspect with my 27. Sagittarius in neptune. I was told I was a straight messagnger from the galatic center from an astrologist. As well as a different numerologist said similar message. I don’t feel like I’m a starseed. If anything I feel so connected to the earth. I absolutely crave it. Do you have any advice for 27 degree sagittarius in neptune and what path could I fit. I was also told it would be for a more collective level vs. Personal. Could I possibly be that with this chart?

I do have a connection. Both my natal Moon and Neptune for a conjunction in my chart with the GC. I channel what has been zapped into my mind as “the answers”. Ancient knowledge is inherently natural to me and common sense. My Neptune in Capricorn in the 9th. My moon is Sag in the 9th. Sag rules my 9th and Cap my 10th. I have premonition dreams, clairsentient, healing.. lots of divine wisdoms comes to my mind when it’s needed for myself or others. The part about volunteer souls resonates with me very much. It overwhelms me sometimes thinking about how much there is to get out there to people to understand.

I have Jupiter and asteroid Sophia conjunct at the same degree in the galactic center, which squares north node and Venus conjunct also at same degree in Leo. And Jupiter/Sophia trine Mercury, Uranus, Moon and Sun in Leo all conjunct. It’s been a supernatural and transformative experience so far! My name also means Sophia.

I have been looking specially for the meaning of a natal Mars conjunct galactic center placement for a man. Any feedback on that?

It depends on the other aspects in the chart (or how that works in the synastry or relationship charts), but generally that’d be Mars in Sagittarius amplifed by the Galactic Center – someone who’d have a lot of energy around his or her beliefs, the search or quest for truth (and Truth) and higher learning. The shadow might look like fundamentalism with a martial bent to it. For an individual, it’d really be based on where they were in their maturity as well as their experience and other self-facets shown in the chart. What have you observed in your experience?

Yeah. I’m a Sun conjunction Galactic Centre person. How I discovered it in the early 1990’s was really intense too. Quoting your text, the following fit aspects of what seems to manifest with me “often found to be transmitters of that ‘frequency’, consciousness-frequency ‘seeders’, or be ‘ahead of their time’ with the ideas they receive, spark, and seed. They might be horizon-edge leaders (whether recognized yet as leaders or not), or rebel-presences stirring up and disrupting the status-quo”. In my chart it’s in the 12th House also conjunct Mercury.

Wow, yes, Sun-G.C. would be pretty intense (and that would be soul-aligned, or “reason for being” aligned, albeit intense given the norms of many contemporary dominator-cultures we might live in). I’m so glad that you saw yourself in the article/post insights! (I have my chart ruler, Venus, spot-on the Galactic Center with aspect to my Ascendant, so I hear and see you! 🙂
So you have Sun and Mercury conjunct at the Galactic Center degree? Mercury and Sun combo … also interesting. 🙂

Whenever there’s a transit to the G.C. (particularly some of the more potent ones, like the recent Mars transit, and (we probably ALL remember!) the Pluto transit of the G.C. oh … somewhere in that 2007 (give and take a year or two or three!) timeframe.
It sounds like you have one of *those* G.C. Person stories (as you said, “How I discovered it in the early 1990’s was really intense, too.”). Have you written about it?
Another of those, I found (and still have yet to write about) is the Progressed Moon through the 12th … it’s on the writing deck when I re-emerge! 🙂

Hi there. My Midheaven is at Galactic Center (29 degrees Sag). It squares my Pisces ascendant at 28 degrees and squares Venus/Pluto at 24/25 degrees Virgo. It’s been a wild ride!

Saturn conjuncts GC in H5 (where also resides Mercury/Sag and Sun/Cap. GC Trines MC. Every Saturn Return conjuncts again.
Had my second Saturn Return in 2017 and not sure anything of interest really happened but now I’m feeling an urgent need to change everything and do a major life reset. Location, Job the lot…
(Venus is now 1° away)

A lot happening in H5! And interesting that the major Saturn transits, like the Saturn Return, light it up. From the 2nd Return through now, did you notice any increasing tension building up, or a slow-burn of dissatisfaction in particular instances, areas of life, certain types of interactions?
Saturnine effects can be interesting – the pressure-cooker, a kind of irritation at boundary breaches, an ability to focus, resilience or perseverance, seriousness, wry wit, responsibility (and, as they say, “response-ability”), patience being tested, melancholy or a need for more solitude, noticing things that suddenly seem even more punitive than before, and so on.
I’m in the midst of the 2nd Saturn Return now (Square Aquarius’s co-ruler, Uranus), and it’s all of the above. 🙂
So you’re experiencing the Jupiter sextile (and ultimately Saturn sextile)? And perhaps the current Saturn-Uranus square dance is stirring that “urgent need to change” and reset. How’s that feeling and unfolding for you?

I was happy to read your blog on the GC. My NorthNode is 27 Sagg in the first house and Saturn(conj South Node) is opposite. It seems like being a receiver and transmitter of frequencies is part of my purpose this time around! It’s a learning to get out of my own way and continually (try to) surrender to a greater will.

As I always say (and experience again and again), it’s a process and lifelong evolutionary experiment. (Particularly, in most of our cultures, the “surrender to the greater will” part, when we’re conditioned very differently!).
