Are You Experiencing a Life-Milestone Cycle or “EPE”?

Every one of us experiences various life milestones, some of which are reflected in one's astrological natal and transits chart -- the first Saturn Return (and second), the Uranus Oppositions and Squares, the Chiron Return, Progressed Lunar Return, and a... Continue Reading →

The Feast and the New Greening (Freshly Re-Greened)

Our Divine Gifts from Sophia, Wisdom.

Many of us wonder how we might not just face the challenges presenting us today, personally and collectively, but also envision and co-create a more heart-centered paradigm. In some sacred teachings and ancient wisdom traditions, we've heard that it takes both a change of mind and foremost, a change of heart. In the story of Sophia, Holy Wisdom, and interpretations of the teachings of some of the ancient Mystery Schools, human beings were endowed with certain Divine gifts through which we might unfold and express our Divine potential. [Continue reading to see the specific Sophia Gifts we're endowed with ...]

Venusian Mysteries: The Garden of the Feminine

I originally wrote this musing in April 2016, when the Taurus Mysteries were rising on the wheel of the year. Then I revisited the Venus-Rising theme, when the Libra Mysteries -- the other zodiac archetype ruled by Venus - were... Continue Reading →

What Makes a Mystic … and a Feminine Mystic?

What makes a "Feminine Mystic?" This is the question that writer Carl McColman asked Mirabai Starr, author, speaker, mystic, and translator of the mystics, in a Patheos interview. This is an excerpt from Starr's reply. "Mysticism is about a direct... Continue Reading →

QuoteWorthy: “The older I become…”

Dream Idyll - A Valkyrie, 1902, by Edward Robert Hughes.
Dream Idyll – A Valkyrie, 1902, by Edward Robert Hughes.

Another ‘Tis the Time and Season‘ reflection, stirred and updated from the Sophia’s Children treasure-vaults (so very Uranus-Pluto!).

Whether we’re in the deep-Yin season of Winter, settling into night from day, or in a Winter-season in our own lifecycle journey, it’s always wise to honor the restoration that will otherwise stalk and have its way with us in other (usually less pleasant) ways.

Plus, Wisdom and Wisdom-sourced vision gestate from and are more easily called up in this season, and with the current archetypal energies in which we dance and swirl right about now.

Happy dancing, swirling, and deep restoration.

Big Love and Be Well,
Jamie

Sybil, by the artist Edward Coley Burne-Jones Sybil, by the artist Edward Coley Burne-Jones

“The older I become,

the more I sense,

the less I speak,

the more I pray —

in ever so many ways.”

I included this wonderful reflection from Clarissa Pinkola-Estes’ book Untie the Strong Woman in a previous Sophia’s Children post you might enjoy:

Storms, Cycles & Black Madonnas

And other mentions of Clarissa Pinkola-Estes in my Reasserting Our Wildish Nature post, and in an homage to the honoring of Deep Yin and the Circadian Rhythms of Winter, in the Sophia’s Children treasure vaults.

A Musingly Yours,
