“What do you yearn for? What vision stirs and beckons you from your inner depths?”

At this point, it’s no secret: Constant, frantic, frenzied ‘busy’ gets you more of the same, along with the stress and burnout that go with it.

We already know this. We’ve experienced it. Mindless-Busy is an addiction: a bad habit that gets us into places we’d rather not have gone, in hindsight.

Here’s a bit of good fortune, though: We have good medicine at the ready.

We most easily break bad habits — or shift into new vision-streams and more desirable life experiences — when we have a vision that pulls us (rather than pain that pushes us).

“When you don’t know where you’re going, any road will do.” ~ Lewis, Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Vision, inspiration, and creativity flow best when the waterways are unobstructed, and we tend to these medial, Feminina byways so that our action — our ‘busy’ — is focused, purposeful, and meaningful.

Lucky for us, we’re in a particularly fertile time for accessing our wellsprings of vision, inspiration, and restoration — if we allow the time and space for it.

If and when we do, we find the rejuvenation, ease the stress, and find ourselves moving more purposefully and with a renewed sense of motivation.

I’ve mused and written and shared a lot on these luscious and very valuable themes, so here are a few selections from the Sophia’s Children archives to help get you into the liminal-medial vision-zone:
