More than a few people have mentioned to me that they’ve been feeling symptoms that I’ve ended up calling “post-election hangover.”
To be sure, there’s been a whole lot of stirred-up stuff in the shared energy and psychic field (those M-fields I wrote about here not long ago).
Blog sister Laura Bruno has just posted a very good and timely “Energies of Now” and “Energy Hygiene” reminder — it’s an ongoing Mastery Path, and building that mastery does help.
Have a look …
I can’t tell you how many sessions I’ve had with people this past week for whom the election and its aftermath — regardless of their politics or disinterest in politics — has triggered massive grief, anger, shock, disbelief, confusion, feelings of fear, cognitive dissonance, betrayal, and/or the desire to give up. Most of these clients are people “who know better” than to go down such spirals, but for whatever reason, they can’t seem to pull themselves out of the whirlpool.
In most cases, their usual coping tools aren’t working, because the things bothering them aren’t really “theirs” to fix.
I’ve had an unusually high volume of calls from Water Signs this past week, especially Pisces, well known for their fluid boundaries and subconscious empathing of surrounding emotions and energies. Even if you’re not a Pisces, if you feel less than optimal right now, please consider the possibility that you might…

A happy Medusa new moon to your fine self!
What if things being difficult and challenging was a sign that you were on the right path?
This flies in the face of some New Age thought that things are supposed to be easy, flowing, unobstructed, and if they’re not, you’re on the wrong path.
Not so much, maybe.
Since it seems ‘up’ for a few people around and about, I’m sharing the following post from the Sophia’s Children archives.
It’s fun to revisit because it includes a couple of my favorite quotes, excerpts, and myth-stories (like the one about Fatima the Spinner and her Tent … if you haven’t met Fatima, just follow the links).
Wishing you strong roots and healthy senses (it is a Taurus-Venus new moon, after all!), and lots of Medusa (see the previous Medusa Wisdom post if you missed that one!).
“A vocation is only possible under conditions that also block it or make it impossible.”
John Caputo in What Would Jesus Deconstruct
That perspective flies straight in the face of the more contemporary notion that if you’re experiencing obstacles on your path, in the way of whatever vision or calling you’re living into, then it’s the wrong path. “It isn’t meant to be.”
The idea behind this thinking is that if it’s really the right path, calling, or vision for you it will be easy, open up effortlessly with no obstacles whatsoever.
This “if it’s right it should be easy” view may be a bit of glazy-eyed New Age froo-froo. It also seems part and parcel of a more recent cultural notion that we’re all entitled to an always-easy, unobstructed way that opens to us when we say ‘now’, and if that’s…

Since this is a wonderful and very timely musing, I’m reblogging it this Easter eve (though the wisdom is apt whatever the time or date, because in some way, something’s always rising and resurrecting in our lives!).
Big Love and Happy Easter,
There is a stillness about Easter Eve. Whether you are Christian, hold another faith, or none, the underlying archetypes of the Easter journey are common to all human experience.
We have all, unless we have led a supremely charmed life, been cast out into the wilderness at one time or another. Life has crucified us all, to a greater or lesser extent. We have been in the Underworld, have known what it is like to go through experiences so severe that we die to our old selves. Then there is the wait, the wait in darkness, fear, and not knowing.
Will we ever emerge, reborn? And when we do emerge, who are we now? Who recognises us, acknowledges and honours where we have been?
And the most profound question of all: what should we do with the life which has been given back to us?
