Happy Summer Solstice to all of you in the Northern Hemisphere, and Happy Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

We have the unusual pleasure of a Strawberry Full Moon falling on Solstice day, so it’s quite a power-portal and ‘thin time’ — good for visioning and other Lunar ways of seeing. Sweet.

Here are a couple of stirring moonlight works by two inspired artists.

“Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” ~ Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist

“If I lose the light of the sun, I will write by candlelight, moonlight, no light, If I lose paper and ink, I will write in blood on forgotten walls. I will write always. I will capture nights all over the world and bring them to you.” ~ Henry Rollins

And while this next selection isn’t a moonlight pic, it is a bit of magical illumination from the abundant beauty and creativity of Nature.

There’s nothing that says Summer in the Northeastern U.S. like fireflies. Always inspiring.
