“We live in a world of theophanies. Holiness comes wrapped in the
ordinary. There are burning bushes all around you. Every tree is full of angels. Hidden beauty is waiting in every crumb. Life wants to lead you from crumbs to angels, but this can happen only if you are willing to unwrap the ordinary by staying with it long enough to harvest its
treasure.”~ Macrina Wiederkehr, O.S.B., from A Tree Full of Angels
Here’s to the delicious beauty of unwrapping the ordinary, and seeing the sacred in every wee thing.
May the eyes and ears of our heart be illuminated…
Big Love,
Jamie

Chills or spirit-rushes seem a good sign that something lovely is stirring, yes? Delight and wide-eyed, too. xoxo Jamie

“A Tree Full of Angels” was one of the first spirituality books I read years ago. It was so beautiful and moving that I cried any number of times as I read.

That’s so lovely and evocative, Joanne … “A Tree Full of Angels.” It could be a mantra-meditation or contemplation on its own! Thanks for sharing. xoxo Love, Jamie
