“Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.” the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nonviolence: The Only Road to Freedom (May 4, 1966)
For one of my favorite quips — and the usual deep insight and heartful inspiration — from the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., read on.
The Rev. Dr. King said, “I’m about convinced now that there is need for a new organization in our world …”
What would that organization be, I wonder?
You’ll find the rest in this Sophia’s Children post.

Today is Martin Luther King’s memorial day, but this is the first article with any mention of him. He was a true wayshower and man of incredible bravery and integrity. Let us move toward and create this beloved community of which he dreamed for us.

Hi Jamie — I remember when I read this post before — such a striking phrase: Creative Non-Conformist! I could not forget that one. Dr. King was just such and although I have not lived at high risk on the front lines like he did, my heart and soul have pushed the edges of creative non-conformity all my life. Thanks for bringing this back into my awareness — very timely indeed. Blessings, Alia

You’re most welcome, Alia. And yes, I agree with you – it’s an amazing and soul-ful and courage (heart) stirring invitation, and an amazing phrase (which is also an invitation!). 🙂 I’m glad you appreciated it, too. Love, Jamie
