Wild times, eh?

And it’s Independence Day (or week, or year?) here in the U.S.

In such a large (just shy of 322-million people) and very diverse population as we have in many parts of the U.S., ‘holidays’ like this always spark a lively debate.

If we’re fortunate, there might be some actual perspective-expanding, awareness-raising dialogues and conversations (vs. self-righteous monologues, mindless slogan-parroting,  ‘shouted down doubt‘, and joy-corroding, spirit-eating cynicism).

May we have more and more of the former, please.

It’s more fun, more creativity-stirring, and a lot more productive and constructive.

In the spirit of liberating our more amazing heart-sourced, bright-minded gifts and abilities, here’s a look at some Current Special Offerings for NOW and a couple of Indie-spirit (or just interesting and timely) reading.

First, the Current Featured/Special Offerings:

As the wise and gifted Hildegard von Bingen inspired (in an article by Elaine Bellezza, about Hildegard “Warrior of Spirit” in Gnosis Magazine),

“We cannot live in a world that is not our own, in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not HOME.

Part of the terror is to take back our own listening, to use our own voice, to see our own light.” **

Amen to that. And, how do we do that, really?

From the Sophia’s Children treasure-vault:

Who Speaks of Liberty?

Free Your Mind (and Heart) – an early (and still one of my favorite) S.C. post, with a few truly insightful comments from indie-spirited Jim Morrison.

Separating From the Herd – Jung’s dry-witted wisdom on the ‘herd mentality’ & actual independence and liberty from it.

The Beauty Way of Relating (always an indie-spirited, renegade act in Bully-centric, Bully-celebrating cultures)

The Evidence We Gather – The Benefits of Gratitude & Affirmative Inquiry (vs. ‘Nattering Nabob of Negativity’ & Diminishing Mirrors) (my recent post)

Protect Your Spirit – Insight from Wise Warrior, John Trudell (In Memorium)

From elsewhere on the web … but seriously timely (and timeless):

The ‘Power Over’ Power-Trips linked with ‘brain damage’? (which comes first, the chicken or the egg?) – from The Atlantic. Definitely recommended.

It makes so much sense.

Cultivating, stirring-up, celebrating, and honoring actual liberty and true Indie Spirit, wherever you are.

Big Love,

Jamie
