Are you feeling an growing call towards greater harmony, beauty, and social artistry?

Or are you noticing, or even mired in, their opposites — disharmony, conflict, relational dysfunction — which are seemingly over-abundant in the world right about now?

I’ll use the mythic and symbolic language of astrology to speak of current archetypal energies … and potentials.

As Jupiter transited Venus-ruled Libra, moved into deep-alchemy Scorpio, and Uranus now edges into Venus-ruled Taurus for seven or so years, there is an invitation, a soul-beckoning into the Venusian Mysteries and relationship (and relating) artistry.

We sometimes … okay, often … come to them by way of their opposites: disharmony, discordant interactions, conflict, a lack of beauty.

And yet we know that contrast makes us more and more aware of the choice before us in any given moment.

As I wrote recently, In this moment, I begin anew.

In the spirit of the Venusian invitation as we find ourselves in Venus-Rising time again (Venus rules both Taurus and Libra), here are a few of the keynotes of the Venusian-Libran Mysteries:

Right thought. Right speech. Right relationship.

Harmonious thought, speech, action.

Social-Intelligence Artistry.

Equilibrium and Equanimity.

The Beauty Way of Relating.

We embody and become that which we would like to experience, and in that experiment of being, we are a healing and harmonious presence.

Positively, beautifully liberating.

This awareness and skillfulness is possible only when we are present and in our whole body.

This, too, is a Venusian theme, from Venus’s other realm: The Taurus Mysteries.

Our mission if we choose to accept it:

(And why not, because the opposite — while passing for ‘normal’ — isn’t what most of us would consciously choose).

To explore, investigate, lean into, intend, and practice these Venusian-Libran themes.

We often find that we learn about these Mysteries by experiencing the opposites of the ideal expressions, too.

For Libra that would mean learning about harmony through disharmony, conflict, and so on, which helps us to cultivate the ‘remedy’ of the beautiful higher-possibility expressions.

There’s plenty of Muse-food for inspiration on these themes here at Sophia’s Children.

And since Venus was positively mad for Mars — she was actually the only one in the pantheon who could inspire Mars to use all of that life-force for worthy purposes — we honor Mars (and thus the beautiful Sacred Masculine) as well:
