Hey Jamie,
I often fly-by here and spend a little time exploring the passageways and avenues, the links, the references, and of course your wonderful insights…your site being a rich depository of knowledge and wisdom and your posts always presented with care and choice words. The Quote Worthy series of posts is superb…and this one is no exception. One wonders as one wanders, and perhaps comes finally to ask how important to the journey is the distance one travels and where or what might be considered the destination?
Thank you for sharing soulful words. The painting is quite beautiful, and wonderfully detailed. A great choice of artwork to accompany the post, and Shaw yet another name for me to explore a little more. Thank you
Namaste

Thank you for the gracious and kind words, Dewin, and for stopping by from time to time. 🙂 I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the gems in the depository, and the words, wisdom, and art imagery shared in the QuoteWorthy series (that’s a fun one to do!). I came upon this particular painting while browsing for artwork to feature on this theme, so was very glad to be acquainted with the amazing work of this particular artist … and happy to share this one, as well. Blessings to you, Dewin! Jamie

It is well with my soul!! 🙂 This is a beautiful passage and one that really touches me as I definitely feel….like so many of us do these days….like a spiritual gypsy. “Home” is….in every sense of the word, where The Heart is. Love to you, Jamie!

So glad it spoke to you as well, Janece, as it likely does to many a fellow wanderer, pilgrim, and gypsy-hearted soul! We do seem to be getting well stirred, for sure. 🙂 It’s so true … ‘Home’ really *is* where the Heart is, which is likely why it’s quite a journey to reclaim it in our very head/intellect-centric culture! Wishing you the deep love and restoration of Home and Heart. xoxo Jamie

Seems like the collective unconscious tapped you on the shoulder and placed this gem in your lap Jamie. I relish the quote, but what opened my heart was the painting. I could be living within it. Words are insufficient here but I trust you understand….
BTW, piggybacking off Dewin’s comment, I considered before arriving at your post the link between destiny and destination….
love and hugs, Linda

Isn’t this particular painting amazing, Linda? I knew it was ‘the one’ (for this theme) as soon as I saw it, and his other work is quite amazing, too. It was fun to discover, as I wasn’t familiar with him or his work before (that I knew of, anyway!). An image speaks where words don’t go (and sometimes, vice versa) … 🙂 Love, Jamie

Looooove this Jamie! Thank you for sharing! Long live all the gypsies, and Hail to our Inner Gypsy! Blessed be. 😀 :star: <3 :star: 😀 NadineMarie

Indeed, NadineMarie … all hail to our inner gypsy-wanderer-explorer-pilgrim heart and soul. 🙂 I’m glad this one spoke to you as well. xoxo Love, Jamie

Wonderful poem! I used to envoy folks who had a “home” solidly based in a faith tradition. I assumed they were very comfortable and felt safe. I felt like a lone traveler without a home. Now I find comfort in knowing there are many wanderers, gypsies, and pilgrims. Thanks for the post Jamie.

You’re welcome, Mike. It’s kind of nice to see ourselves reflected back to us from time to time, isn’t it? I know I feel that way, and it’s been pure manna at other times in my life when I, too, have felt like that ‘lone traveler without a home’ (which is why I’ve posted several musings about ‘home and exile’!). Thank you for stopping by! Blessings, Jamie

Thank you for reblogging this lovely Wanderer-Pilgrim-Soul post, Mike. I appreciate you rippling it out, so that it can find other kindred souls who might see themselves in it, too. (And a synchronicity – I noted two of your posts for my reblog list, too. I’m enjoying your posts as well!). Blessings, Jamie
