Alexander Barry, author, actor, and anthrosophist, talks about the crucial difference between our “cosmic autistic psychopathic” technology oriented society and a much more constructive and evolved technosophy oriented potential.
“… it could be we’re heading towards a major crisis. The reason is that our technology is essentially very destructive,” says Alexander.
Why?
“Because it’s coming out of a mindset that completely denies the existence of the super physical dimensions. It only acknowledges them as things.”
Alexander talks about a shift that will “transform our technology into technosophy.”
What’s technosophy?
“Well first,” says Alexander, “we define technology as that which made us comfortable in a world in which we were no longer comforted by spiritual beings.”
“When gradually the spiritual creative forces withdrew and left us on our own, and we feel this today with this so called atheistic materialism where people literally think there’s nothing out there at all, it’s all just physics.”
“That’s what technology is a substitute for. Interesting enough, technology has been given to us, as also has been materialistic science, by a being that wants to inspire in humanity the idea that there is nothing else but the physical and material world.”
“But if we follow that being blindly, eventually that being will turn the entire earth and every other being on the earth into and every other being on the earth into a machine.”
“That being is incredibly clever but in a very one sided way.”
“I call it a kind of cosmic autistic psychopath, a being who is driven by a blind force of one-sided calculating intelligence but not a metaphorical wisdom. There’s no intuitive wisdom in this being.”
“But this is a drug, it’s a very very powerful addiction people can get to technology because it is so brilliant, it is such a concentration of cosmic memories fallen into mechanism that it has a very powerful effect on people.”
And what is technosophy, then?
“Technosophy isn’t about comforting us in a world we’ve been forgotten and we’ve forgotten where we’ve come from,” Alexander emphasizes.

“Instead of hurling the products of materialistic intellect into space using fire and explosion, it uses more implosive, feminine forms to do with water to draw cosmic forces into the Earth, because he Earth is then conceived not as a rock flying around the sun but as a seed waiting to be germinated, a seed out of which infinite worlds will appear which exist in us. When the Earth has gone into us, then a new world will come out of us.”
